1. MS Dhoni (40 years)
The former skipper of India and CSK has played the tournament since the very first season. He’s CSK’s oldest player and has played 190 games. Under his leadership, the team won the IPL Cup 4 times. He’s also the franchise’s second-highest run-scorer. He handed over the captaincy to Jadeja in 2022 and will be part of the franchise just as a player for the first time.
2. DJ Bravo (38 years)
Bravo has been playing IPL since the year 2008. Dwayne Bravo played for MI in the inaugural season, he was 24 years. In 2011, he joined CSK and his best IPL days were waiting for him. In IPL 2022, he will lead CSK’s pace bowling attack. He’s all set to break Lasith Malinga’s wicket-tally and become IPL’s all-time leading wicket-taker.
3. Faf Du Plessis (37 years)
This Protea cricketer started playing IPL in 2012. He was picked by MSD’s yellow army. In his debut season, the batter had a modest salary of INR 60 Lakh. In IPL 2022 Faf will captain RCB and was bought for Rs. 7 Cr. Faf also played 100 matches from CSK’s side. He is on his way to completing 3000 runs in the tournament. 4. Wriddhiman Saha (37 years)
Wriddhiman Saha started playing IPL at the age of 23. Saha has been in CSK’s title win in 2011. The batter had an impressive performance with the Punjab franchise till IPL 2017. The player has a good IPL record. He has made 133 appearances and has scored 2110 runs at an average of 24.53. He plays for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022.
5. Mohammad Nabi (37 yea)
Afghan player Mohammad Nabi is now in his late 30s. This cricketer made his debut in SRH in the year 2017. Nabi was bought for Rs 1 crore but in 2022 he is all set to play for KKR. He has played a total of 17 IPL matches where he picked 13 wickets and scored 180 runs for the team. It’s expected that he’ll be playing more seasons.
