Back in January, Twitter revealed its “Chirp” which became the social media platform’s first proprietary font. And now finally after long eight months, the social media platform is ready to roll out the new font. However, this is not the only change that is coming to the platform this time.

Twitter has also started rolling out several new designs for its service as well, and reports indicate that the changes coming to the platform will make the website and the mobile apps better in terms of accessibility and reduce the clutter.

During its announcement of the Chirp font, the social media platform called it a balance “between messy and sharp.” The font has already started to receive positive feedback from the users. By switching to Chirp, all the Western-language texts will be aligned to the left on Twitter, giving it a new and neat look.

Here is a Tweet describing the idea behind Chirp.

Along with the introduction of the new font, the colour palette of the platform is also blessed with a change. The new colour palette offers higher contrast and there is a lot less blue this time around. Twitter announced that this change will help the company “draw attention to the photos and videos you create and share.” for future updates, Twitter stated that it is planning on launching new colours soon giving users a fresh coat of paint. If you have the Twitter Blue subscription, then just go ahead and change the colours of the mobile app and its icon on both iOS and Android phones.

There is also an added space that allows for an easier way to read the text. However, the social media platform also announced that this recent list of updates coming to its platform is only the start of a long series of visual updates that will be coming in the future. Stay tuned for more information.
