At their Realms Deep 2023 expo over the weekend, 3D Realms released a ton of new games in addition to providing updates for previously announced games. Here is a summary of the titles featured during the 4-hour program, which of course includes a ton of new trailers to check out. The presentation is taking place at the same time as the Realms Deep 2023 Steam sale, which is currently running through October 3rd and includes various 3D Realms games.
Harrison compared the action-adventure shooter Twisted Tower from Atmos Games to a brutal mix of BioShock, Willy Wonka, and Disneyland in his preview. You take on the role of Tiny, a participant in the renowned game show The Twisted Tower, which is hosted by Mr. Twister, a multibillionaire toy manufacturer. Tiny hopes to utilize the $10,000,000 prize and fame to woo Charlotte, his childhood sweetheart, into marriage, but quickly learns that the game show has a sinister side to it.
Realms Deep 2023 – Phantom Fury
In addition to a new playable demo, the previously mentioned Phantom Fury made an appearance this year. Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison, using the Quake engine this time, uses her weapons and new bionic arm to slay evil mutants and deceitful troops to obtain the fabled Demon Core, a very lethal artifact.
The long-awaited expansion Aftershock for Phantom Fury’s predecessor Iron Fury will finally be released on October 2nd, according to a report from the game. After eventually defeating Heskel in the first game, the protagonist of Aftershock, Shelly Harrison, is seen celebrating at a nearby pub. Naturally, that doesn’t last long because Heskel returns, so Shelly must now prepare and kill him.

Good Karma’s Divine Frequency was once developed as a Total Conversion for Doom but has since evolved into a standalone title. This first-person shooter role-playing game places you in a dystopian world where dreams and reality merge while letting you use a range of weapons, including your own fists and long-forgotten experimental weapons. You know this one is good to keep on your radar when the developers list Blood, System Shock 2, Darkest Dungeon, and Bloodborne as inspiration.
KillPixel’s WRATH: Aeon of Ruin, which has spent a long time in Early Access, will eventually leave the platform on February 27th, 2024, and launch in its entirety. As Outlander, you are. You are currently standing on the shores of a fading world after formerly being lost at sea in the Ageless Sea. A white-clad figure known as the Shepherd of Wayward Souls appears from the engulfing darkness and assigns you the responsibility of finding the last Guardians of the Old World.
Realms Deep 2023 – Kingpin Reloaded
A new trailer for Kingpin Reloaded as well as its December 5th release date appeared. The 1999 Interplay cult favorite will have its gameplay balanced and improved, as well as additional quests, ultrawide and 4K support, “Classic” and “Enhanced” modes, and other improvements in Slipgate Ironworks’ remaster.
