Microsoft has now included the game’s achievements on its official website, making a GoldenEye 007 remaster for Xbox look increasingly likely.
According to Video Games Chronicle, industry insider @Wario64 on Twitter supplied the milestones (below) as well as a link to their online listing, which is still operational as of this writing.
A remaster has long been rumored and has now been all but confirmed — most recently in January when Xbox accomplishment tracking website TrueAchievements added the game to its database. Rare revealed that an updated version of GoldenEye 007 was in production for the Xbox 360’s Live Arcade, but it was canceled owing to licensing concerns, and files for the game were leaked online in February 2021.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a full-fledged Bond game, but the license’s notoriously rigorous limitations appear to be relaxing. Hitman creator Io-Interactive is also working on Project 007, a completely new story for the super-spy, in addition to a possible return to GoldenEye.
