Microsoft recently unveiled the May 2025 lineup for Xbox Game Pass, with several exciting titles coming to the subscription service, both paid and free, as part of the “Year of Prophecy.” This includes big day-one Game Pass titles and new inclusions for console and PC players.
Xbox Game Pass May 2025: Doom, Dredge, Teenage Mutant Turtles & More – Day One Releases & Updates
The first is Doom: The Dark Ages, a prequel to Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, hitting Origin’s roster day-and-date on May 15. Players will take on the role of the DOOM Slayer in what will be a new story to the series. For those itching to get ahead, the Premium Upgrade grants early access and launch DLC.
Out on May 6 is Dredge (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S), a single-player fishing adventure game in which players explore a mysterious archipelago and discover long-lost secrets. The game is on all of Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. On May 7, several more titles will hit the service: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC), Dungeons of Hinterberg (Console), Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (Xbox Series X|S), and Metal Slug Tactics (Console).
A big addition comes on May 8 with Revenge of the Savage Planet (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S), a day-one Game Pass title where players explore an alien world to seek revenge on a corrupt employer. Additionally, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on the same day.
Other notable titles include Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (Cloud and Console) on May 13, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo (Cloud, Console, and PC) on May 16, and Firefighting Simulator: The Squad (Cloud, Console, and PC) and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers (Cloud, Console, and PC) on May 20. Finally, several games will leave the service on May 15, including Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and Chants of Sennaar. Subscribers can use their membership discount to keep these games in their library.
