Microsoft’s initiative to allow Xbox owners to stream their entire game libraries, including non-Game Pass titles, continues to grow. The February Xbox Update adds more than 50 new titles that Game Pass Ultimate owners can stream on supported devices — if they already own the games.

Xbox Cloud Gaming Update Adds 50+ Playable Titles, Expands Streaming Features for Game Pass Ultimate

The new additions, according to Xbox’s official site, are Blasphemous 2, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Slime Rancher 2, Subnautica, Subnautica: Below Zero, The Talos Principle 2, and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered. More titles, such as Atomic Heart, Cult of the Lamb, Hotline Miami, Killer Frequency, Neva, Overcooked! All You Can Eat, Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate, Serious Sam Collection, Trepang2, and Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, will receive streaming support soon.

The update also enhances the multiplayer experience for Game Pass Ultimate members by introducing a simplified invite system. The new invite link can now be sent via direct message, group chat or social media, and once friends receive it, they can instantly join Xbox Cloud Gaming beta sessions. It’s not limited to consoles either, working on web browsers and supported TVs as long as every member has an Xbox account and instance of the game. However, some titles may also require an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription, while how many people can join depends on game limits for multiplayer.

Microsoft has also just rolled out the network-quality indicator feature for all Xbox Cloud Gaming beta testers. Players use this tool to keep an eye on network issues and keep track of the actual queueing process while streaming. Last year, reports indicated that Microsoft is working on direct-to-stream consoles and is looking to improve game streaming quality in a big way down the line.

Details of these enhancements have not been officially announced or rolled out. As the company moves forward in bolstering its Cloud Gaming service, Microsoft is building toward a dream of seamless, accessible streaming, where Xbox users can enjoy all their favorite games on a variety of devices without too much hassle.
