It is highly appreciated that the Xbox boss Phil Spencer is going to get a lifetime achievement award at the latest D.I.C.E Awards later in the month in Las Vegas. It seems that the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences has been declared that the Microsoft veteran will be presented with much of the honor at the awards show on 24th February with such none of the other than Bethesda veteran Todd Howard- 2017’s recipient with the awr4d presenting the award with him.
Spencer also collaborated Microsoft with all the way back in 1988 as an intern. He also held several different positions over the years and also has been rising along the way to the top of such Xbox gaming that is a new division within Microsoft that had been established like the part of the company’s proposed buyout with Activision Blizzard.
It seems that under the leadership of Spencer, Microsoft revealed such of the multiple Xbox platforms. He also has been led the company into the ambitious new feature with several studios and getting Xbox Games Pass. Xbox also had the best year in the history of the company on the basis of revenue.
The AIAS president Megan Scavio said: “ Phil Spenser has demonstrated both passion and leadership throughout his entire career at Microsoft. He’s responsible for countless impactful and pivotal initiatives that have reverberated throughout the entire gaming industry,”

Spencer also reacted with the announcement on Twitter and thanked the colleagues at Xbox, the fans, and other companies for providing help along the way.
He also wrote “ The people we work with are the most important part of any progress. This is so true for me. Not only members of Team Xbox but also players, partners, other platform holders have all helped me learn, grow and realize the opportunity we have. Thank you,”
There are also some of the last recipients of the award have contained Shigeru Miyamoto, Sid Meier, John Carmack, Tim Sweeney, Gabe Newell, Hideo Kojima, and Bonnie Ross.
It seems that Spencer is not the only industry veteran who will be honored at the D.I.C.E. Awards. The co-creator of Mortal combat Rd Boon is also being inducted into the AIAS Hall of Fame for his many achievements over the years.
There are also Sony’s Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart leading the way with nine of the total nominations containing a nod for game of the year.
