One of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, WWE legend Triple H has announced his retirement from professional wrestling. Triple H, whose real name is Paul Levesque disclosed this news of him on ESPN’s first take on Friday, to Stephen A Smith.
Triple H went into heart failure last September which also followed viral pneumonia, and there were various moments when he felt that he wasn’t much sure whether he would make it to in-ring action or not. Triple is now 52-years-old who debuted back 27 years ago in 1995 and had a great legacy being a 14-time World Champion.
Triple H in this regard
Triple H who is also an Executive Vice President of WWE, said that he will never wrestle again. First of all, he has a defibrillator in his chest, for which it is probably not a good idea to get zapped on live TV, he added.
The legendary wrestler got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame back in 2019, along with his group D-Generation X. Alongside being a five-time WWE World Heavyweight Champions and Intercontinental Champion, respectively, he has won Royal Rumble matches on two different occasions including in 2002 and 2016.
Having a Heart Problem
The 14-time World Champion told ESPN’s First Take that he was suffering from viral pneumonia in September, and his wife Stephanie McMahon the WWE Chief Brand Officer of WWE noticed that his husband was coughing up blood. When he went to the hospital, the doctors discovered that there are fluids in his lungs and heart.
He said that the doctors told him that his heart was working at a fraction of full strength and he was in a “bad” heart failure. Triple H was indeed one of the greatest of all time, and no one expected that his career will ever end like this. His great legacy and the way he entertained people, will be ever-remembered by all.
