Here are the match results detailed below that took place on the first day of the most stupendous Wrestlemania of all time.

Wrestlemania 38 Day 1: The Usos vs Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs (Smackdown Tag Team Championship)

The Smackdown tag team championship was the first match of Wrestlemania 38, and it was electric below the Superdome. Though the former Intercontinental champion Shinsuke Nakamura took control at first, and it seemed like fans might see a new tag team champion in the blue brand, as always the Usos turned the tables in their favor. Boogs tried to put the Usos to the fireman’s carry but his knee didn’t permit it. This gave the reigning champions’, momentum and they finally finished the match with a splash on Nakamura. Boogs was not able to return to the match, and the Usos successfully defended their titles.

    Drew McIntyre vs Happy Corbin

The McIntyre vs Corbin match started with a brief brawl and both the athletes gave a tough fight against each other. Corbin was in control at first, giving a vertical as well as a back suplex to McIntyre, however, the Scottish Warrior came back using the distraction of Corbin who was going to celebrate with Madcap Moss, with a spine buster. Also, it was for the first time that somebody kicked out of Happy Corbin’s signature finishing move, End of Days that was McIntyre. Ultimately McIntyre won the match with a claymore and defeated Corbin via pinfall. The Scottish Warrior also tried to beat Madcap with his Angela but it caught the ropes of the ring tearing it apart.

The Mysterios vs The Miz and Logan Paul

Fans were shocked at the AT&T stadium to see the performance of Logan Paul when these two pairs locked horns against each other in a tag team match at Wrestlemania 38, Day 1. Logan Paul is a Youtuber who used so many professional wrestling moves, which was indeed undeniable and he made the fans fall in love with him in this field too.

Also, fans were shocked the most to see Logan Paul and The Miz pick up the victory defeating the former Smackdown tag team champions via pinfall. However, the most surprising thing happened when after the match when the winners were celebrating, the Miz hit Logan Paul with a Skull Crushing Finale.

Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair (Raw Women’s Championship)

Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair fought their level best with the Raw Women’s Championship on the line. Both of the women stayed strong from the first position, however, it seemed like Big Time Becks was in a hurry to finish the match as she went for covers frequently.

Shades of the Summerslam also came as the match started when Bianca Belair gave his hand to Becky for shaking hand, however, the champions gave a cheap shot. Then he attempted the man handle slam, which was countered by Bianca to perform a KOD but was again countered by Lynch for a man handle slam, and this time she connected. Though Belair kicked out again and again until he finally slammed Becky Lynch with a Kiss of Death to pin him and become a 2 time Women’s Champion, at Wrestlemania 38.

    Seth Rollins vs Cody Rhodes

Another stupendous thing that took place at Wrestlemania 38, was the return of the American nightmare Cody Rhodes. After Seth Rollins emerged to the ring, Cody was revealed as his mystery opponent, and it was electric when his theme song hit the stadium. The two gave their best to have their own Wrestlemania moment and after a hell of a fight, it was Rhodes who pinned Rolling after delivering a bionic elbow and Cross Rhodes.

Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey (Smackdown Women’s Championship)

For many fans, the fight between the Queen and the Baddest woman on the planet was the best match of Wrestlemania 38, day 1. Indeed these two greats gave their level best, one to retain her title and another one to achieve it. Ronda Rousey who won the Royal Rumble 2022 back in January 2022, challenged Flair for the championship, and it was a game of submissions and reversals. Charlotte tried to trap Rousey in her figure 4 and then turn it into a figure 8 and succeeded but failed most of the time.

Rousey was able to catch Flair in her ankle lock, but Flair managed to get rid of it too. However the match got to a controversial ending when Charlotte was trying to put Rousey into her figure 4, but Rousey kicked her in his back and the Queen accidentally speared referee Charles Robinson. Rousey then put Charlotte in her signature move, the armbar, and the champion tapped but the referee was down and out. Rousey went to the referee to pick and bring him to the match and got distracted, which followed her getting a big boot by the Queen, and the champion defeated Rousey via pinfall.

    Steve Austin vs Kevin Ownes

And the biggest gift that the fans got watching Wrestlemania 38 live at AT&T Stadium was to see legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin get back to in-ring action after 19 years. Kevin Ownes initially invited the Texas Rattlesnake to his KO Show talking thrash about the state of Texas, but told that it was a trick to challenge Stone Cold for a No Hold Barred match.

Stone Cold fought his last match against the Rock 19 years back at Wrestlemania 19 and got defeated by the Great One after three Rock Bottoms. After Ownes offered Stone Cold the challenge, the 57-year-old Texan accepted it by saying that he fought his first match at Texas and will fight his last match at Texas too.

Everyone thought that Stone Cold won’t be able to get much physical, but the legendary Texan proved everyone wrong and gave his best to Ownes. Though Owens didn’t back down, as he suplexed Stone Cold and also gave him a stunner, Stone Cold kicked out. Kevin owns also tried to hit Stone Cold with a chair but Steve Austin dodged and finally stunned him to achieve the victory after submitting 1, 2, and 3. Stone Cold Steve Austin closing the final chapter of his professional wrestling career with a win at Wrestlemania 38, was the greatest moment of the night.
