The upcoming pay-per-view of WWE, i.e., Money In The Bank, is also set to take place on July 1, 2023, at the O2 Arena in London, England. While several WWE Superstars are advertised for the event, speculations are going on regarding Randy Orton’s return. The Viper has recovered from his back injury, which led to surgery, and now it seems like he can return anytime soon, and what’s better than returning at this PPV? Check out if the WWE superstar will make a surprise return at WWE Money in the Bank 2023.
Will Randy Orton return at the MITB?
WRKD Wrestling recently tweeted that Randy Orton might return to WWE at Money in the Bank 2023. The tweet reads, “Randy Orton is expected to be nearing a return, possibly even as soon as this weekend’s Money In The Bank. Orton has been out of action since May of 2022 with a serious back injury.“
Speculations have been there regarding Randy Orton’s return, and this time, he might engage in a feud with Riddle. On the other hand, Riddle is all set to face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE Money in the Bank. The viper might return and interfere in Matt Riddle’s match with Gunther, thus costing him the title. The feud might ultimately lead to Matt Riddle vs Randy Orton being set up for SummerSlam 2023.
Apart from that, it is to be noted that in 2021, Roman Reigns retained the Universal Championship against Edge. Following the match, Reigns was interrupted by a returning John Cena. Like that, several fans believe that same can go for Randy Orton, and if this really happens, the WWE Universe will go nuts indeed. It is to be seen what happens next.
