What is DLSS and its Advantages

What is DLSS: NVIDIA created DLSS, an AI-based technique. This method is based on specialized hardware known as Tensor Cores, which are only present on RTX graphics cards. Every SKU in the 2000, 3000, and RTX 4000 series, in particular.

Graphics fidelity in video games and PC technology has always progressed in a linear fashion. NVIDIA and AMD keep producing high-end GPUs whcih are able to handle these demanding visuals more easily.

However, with the release of NVIDIA’s DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), this may no longer be the case. With this one-of-a-kind AI technique, DLSS may significantly increase a game’s performance while preserving graphic quality.

It upscales photos from a lower resolution to a higher resolution while keeping (nearly) the same level of visual quality. This gives the user additional FPS for the same graphics fidelity.

It takes a native resolution frame/image and downscales it to a lesser resolution. It downscales 1440p to 1080p, for example, and then fills in all of the missing pixels to generate a picture that is nearly comparable to the actual resolution.

When DLSS 2.0 was released, the performance improvements and graphical fidelity losses were lowered even further.

DLSS 3.0 will also be launched with the latest generation of RTX GPUs (4000). DLSS 3 may give up to four times greater FPS in-game with the addition of Optical Flow Accelerators in RTX 4000 GPUs and the use of Optical Multiframe Generation.

To provide you with considerably better performance, DLSS goes through all the hoops of downscaling and upscaling with deep learning. If you are unable to achieve 60 frames per second on your GPU, say an RTX 3060, in DLSS-enabled games, simply select that option in settings and see how well it improves performance.
