On Thursday Amazon Prime Video has made the announcement about the release date of its latest Tamil film named Udanpirappe. The film is going to be released on an OTT platform on 14th October which is coinciding with the celebration of Dussehra.
This film is a family drama and is directed by Era Saravanan in Telugu under the title Rakhtha Sambandham. The film stars Jyotika, Sasikumar, Samuthirakani, Kalaiyarasan and Soori. It is also Jyotika’s 50th film in her career.
Besides playing the lead role, Jyotika has also bankrolled Udanpirappe along with her husband Suriya.
The film Udanirappe is the second film out of four films deal that has been signed by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment with Amazon Prime Video. The first film is a political satire named Raman Aandalum Ravanan Aandalum which is directed by Arisil Moorthy.
A new film will also be released by 2D Entertainment every month on Amazon Prime Video till December. The remaining two films are Oh My doG! and Jai Bhim, which stars Suriya in the lead role.
