    Twitter erupts in appreciation as Robert Lewandowski scored his 41st Bundesliga goal in the 90th minute of the final game of the season to create a new record

    Robert Lewandowski has been playing in the top level for the last few years. He won the Champions League last season along with the Bundesliga, and it felt he was robbed of the Ballon d’Or as it was cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    This year, even if Bayern hasn’t been able to defend their UCL title, they have won the Bundesliga, and Lewandowski has been in tremendous form in the league. He equalled Gerd Muller’s record for the highest number of goals in a single Bundesliga season, and everybody expected him to break the record.

    But it seemed he was destined to share the record with Gerd Muller as he was unable to find the net till the 90th minute of the game. As he scored his 41st Bundesliga goal in the final minute of the final game of the season, Lewandowski now holds the new record. Here are a few of the tweets appreciating the Polish striker:
