The Viral Fever, abbreviated to TVF, is an OTT platform and YouTube channel started by TVF Media Labs in 2010, currently owned and operated by Contagious Online Media Network Private Limited. The Viral Fever was one of the early arrivals on the Indian digital entertainment segments, with videos covering a wide range of topics on Indian politics, movies, lifestyle, and emerging social concepts. The Viral Fever was one of the pioneers of web series in India with cult hits like permanent roommates, TVF Pitchers, Kota Factory.
As of May 2021, TVF has over 92 lakh (9.22 million) subscribers on YouTube. Aspirants is a web series created by TVF which is being hyped by the public at large and this web series helps the TVF to reach such a huge number of subscribers. TVF have targeted the public at large to get the maximum number of subscribers by generating curiosity out of this web series and at the end of each episode they requested to subscribe more and gave targets to reach a certain number of subscribers in order to get the next episode at earliest. Nowadays audiences are not much into television, they would rather prefer phones and laptops that’s why web series have become so much popular in recent days. Web series are eliminating the gaps between the cinemas and realities. In recent days web series became so popular because they showcase the reality which natural and real which connects the audience more than that of the cinemas.
Aspirants is a web series created by The Viral Fever Team. This show depicts the lives of the UPSC aspirants who are striving to become IAS. The story revolves around three friends who are the aspirants living in Old Rajender Nagar, Delhi. The three friends are from different backgrounds and aspects of life, all dreaming of the same goal. TVF have again made the impossible into possible with their creativity and hardworking.
The story says us about the struggling lifestyle and the hurdles which cross across their path to becoming an IAS officer. The story attracts the audience because of its simplicity, storytelling and true-life of UPSC aspirants. Through this, the young generations have connected themselves more and flow themselves with the series which make the web series such a huge success. Aspirants was first released on 7th April 2021 and have been a top contender as the public favourite, with Season 1 ending with Episode 5 aired on 8th May 2021.
The show has clearly been able to capture a student’s struggle with relation to their rooms, dreams, anxiety, as well as working for the country. The show has several other characters as well, all having a recurring role throughout the series. The storyline has answered all the questions it placed at the beginning. A Season 2 could be in the works. The five episodes ended on a high with no loose ends making it more demanding among the fans. This gives a green signal for a second season.
Will there be TVF: Aspirants Season 2?
TVF: Aspirants has not yet been officially announced for a second season. Although a second season is highly expected due to the series performance and the love of the audience. The series has been hyped very much by the audience and it is expected that the audience will demand for season 2 at a large in no time. This series makes it unique in its own style. In Kota Factory one student strives for his career and in UPSC one student strive for his survival. Here the hardships are more challenging.
The series has an average rating of 9/10 on IMDb. This has been transpired through the weighted average of 185,818 IMDb user ratings, it only makes sense for the production team to have a second season. Whereas the Kota factory didn’t have its second season two years after its initial release. So, it is highly expected that it will definitely will have a season 2 because this one is extraordinary. But till now, unfortunately, there has been no confirmation from the creators that indicates TVF: Aspirants Season 2 to come out soon.
TVF: Aspirants Season 2 is expected to have its release at least by late 2022 or early 2023. While the fact remains that the web series has not been renewed yet, only a prediction could be given through the facts we have. TVF: Aspirants was only announced when the Viral Fever came out with their line up for this year. This includes TVF: Aspirants as the announcement was made on 21st February 2021, and after that, we got the trailer, and in April, the series has been released. So, we can get assured that as soon as the production is almost done, the season 2 declaration will also be made.
Considering the line-up, they had for this year, TVF: Aspirants season 2 will not release anytime in 2021. There are many series which does not have season 2 but for TVF everything is possible. For example, in Kota Factory, the wait is of two years. The TVF team is already working on its line-up. So, the production for the second season will start in 2022. In the meanwhile, we are expecting Season 2 in late 2022 or early 2023.
