Family Man is one of the blockbuster web series released so far. It is an action-thriller, espionage-based Indian web series released on an OTT Platform named Amazon Prime Video. Many of us do not know that when the casting was being planned for ‘The Family Man” back in 2017, a skilful actor was approached for the lead role, not the famous performer Manoj Bajpayee. It was none other than Akshay Khanna who was reportedly approached to do the ‘middle-class guy. World class spy” Srikant Tiwari’s role.
However, apparently, Akshay Khanna cannot do the series due to financial curb. Meanwhile, Bajpayee got the role and nailed it. The rest was history. The series become one of the blockbuster hit web series till now.

“The Family Man” is not the first series where one character has played the role of the secret life of a spy without telling it about to his family. It was previously portrayed in James Cameron’s action-comedy film “True Lies, ” where Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character also struggled to manage his family and secret government agent life simultaneously.
Like Srikant, Arnold’s character was almost the same. He also spies on his family with his unique skills. Besides having many similarities, the plotline and the story of “The Family Man” are completely different from “True Lies”.

Manoj Bajpayee’s character in “The Family Man” is said to be indistinctly based on director Raj Nidimoru’s uncle. It was heard that Raj’s uncle was an intelligence officer who used to ignore or build up stories about his profession whenever anyone has asked him. He used to say he was a shoe salesman or a garments exporter.
Though the story of the web series is not based on his uncle, Raj took the idea from his uncle’s interesting story.

In the Trailer of “The Family Man” season 2, Samantha Akkineni’s character says, “I will kill them. I will kill them all”. Interestingly, these words were part of a bigger dialogue said by Keanu Reeves in the action flick ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’. Reeves had famously said in the movie, “Winston… tell them… Tell them all… Whoever comes, whoever it is… I’ll kill them.
