In ‘Of Ash and Steel’, which is set in the Kingdom of the Seven, you start as a lowly adventurer, but soon begin to develop your combat skills and build friendships with some of the lower tiers to survive within a harsh environment. The game is also completely player-driven in exploration, unlike most RPGs which hold players’ hands by marking quests on a map. It has been carefully designed in a way that allows players to listen to their instincts and natural curiosity regarding how they want to get around, often uncovering insight that this path leads them to secrets, treasures, and side quests creating more depth into the experience.
