The Netflix series, The Witcher is all set to premiere its second season this December 17th. The fans have been waiting for this moment for a long time and finally, it’s here. As per the recent trailer, there’s a new creepy monster that Geralt of Rivia will need to fight.
The new episodes of the upcoming seasons will have witchers from the books, unseen on the streaming platform. There will be other creatures too that promise to surprise the audience and will be massive enemies for Henry Cavill.
The New Monster of the Witcher: What is the Myriapod?
The trailer came live on 25th November. It introduces the Myriapod, a gigantic monster with a centipede reminiscent appearance. However, the creature features eight legs, with horns present on the head and teeth to cut apart their prey.
The Polish writer Andrezj Sapkowski had imagined that the portrayal of this creature would be intense enough to scare anyone. In the trailer, it was visible that Geralt is in trouble against that agility.
The Witcher: Similarities Between the Series and Video Games
Fans who are staunch fans of the series and have also experienced the video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, with the blood and wine expansion, have an idea of a Myriapod. Viy of Maribor, which appears in the game, has similarities with the monster.
The second season of the series will feature a total of eight episodes. Fans can exclusively watch it on Netflix, from December 17th. Even if fans are unable to wait for the alternative series material, they can watch the movie, The Witcher: The Nightmare of the Wolf.
The animated movie narrates Vesemir’s adventures, who is Geralt’s mentor and plays a critical part in the upcoming season! Fans will be eagerly waiting for the same.
