Already there are few comments saying, ‘What did you do to our beautiful Samantha?’ I said, ‘She is still beautiful but in just a different role.’ Someone like her doing this role is very risky. Short and detailed glimpses of Season 2
Many things have changed from the first season of “The Family Man”. This time the canvas is bigger, and the action is smoother. But, unfortunately, the villains mind their own business, and the heroes block their ways.
Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) returns from his corporate job, which he started after leaving the TASC at the beginning of the season. He left the job to head a dangerous mission in Chennai. His relationship with his wife Suchi (Priyamani) and kids was at risk, and on top of it, his enemies decided to give their enmity a personal touch. In this season, he was challenged by a group of Sri Lanka Tamil rebels led by a super deadly Raji (Samantha Akkineni). Apart from the ideologies, it has also become a war of wit and grit.
The Family Man season 2 has a storyline with fast-paced and quickly yet highly emotional drama. There are excruciating taunts at the educational system, mental health scenario, and language divide. For example, Tiwari gets really puzzled when a teenage school girl fires at him with terms like feminazi and libertarian. It is only Bajpayee’s calibre to bring out the humour in the oddest situations also. And also, not to forget about Tiwari and JK’s (Sharib Hashmi) pun-intended jokes. It has created a great pair that works in total tandem. They can generate laughter at will.
In this new season, there is a new inclusion Samantha’s Raji. Samantha has played a great role and handled it with a lot of care with such perfect and measured performance. This performance will surely make her win many more fans in Hindi showbiz.
Its comic sequences are bang on before transforming it into a serious one around the fifth episode. The action part takes the center stage in the later episodes and leads it to be a brilliant and fitting finale.
In this season, we will experience that the characters that we have met earlier in the first season are trying to find a hold on to the risk-prone world of Tiwari. They are also growing matured and witnessing natural progress while accepting the truths about their lives.
Apart from this, Manoj Bajpayee again took over the whole show with his excellent talent. After all, it is his show. It’s very hard to imagine any other actor who can make a transition through so many moods in such a short time. People will remember this character for a lifetime.
Conclusion
Overall “The Family Man (Season 2)” is a detailed, funny, exciting, logical, and flawless series. You will forget about the time while you are watching all the episodes.
