Just last May, there was talk of a third The Crew game in the works at Ubisoft, with it reportedly beginning as DLC for The Crew 2 before expanding into its own project. More rumoured details have since emerged, including the fact that it will not be called The Crew 3 and may have the word ‘Motorfest’ in its title.
A datamined logo appears to have confirmed its full title as The Crew Motorfest, as well as that it will offer an insider programme, amid newer claims that Ubisoft will announce the game in the coming months.
Assuming the logo is genuine, this implies that Ubisoft will allow players to sign up for a private playtest before the game’s full release. The logo was shared on Twitter by ScriptLeaksR6, who, based on their profile, has a history of sharing Ubisoft-related leaks, mostly relating to Rainbow Six Siege.
While they don’t say where or how they discovered this logo, it does correspond to the initial reports by Insider Gaming, who claimed to have seen in-game images that frequently displayed a Motorfest logo. Unlike previous games, which featured open world environments spanning the entire United States of America, the new game is said to take place solely on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu.
