Suryakumar Yadav who’s the no.1 batter currently, gathered his third 3rd T20I century in Rajkot against Sri Lanka. He smashed 9 sixes that helped him muster the second-fastest ton in the shortest format. It came only in 49 deliveries.
His performance very rarely disappoints the fans. In the third T20I against Sri Lanka, he came to bat at no.4 and scored his third T20Icentury in just 45 deliveries that helped Indiaposting a giant total of 228/5 in 20 overs. India restricted the visitors to just 137 runs and won the third T20I by 91 runs and won the series by 2-0.
He came to bat in the sixth over and started with a four and six off Chamika Karunaratne. From there. he was completely unstoppable. He smashed some shots from unimaginable angles. He smashed as many tons and sixes as possible, which baffled the Sri Lankan bowlers. Earlier he completed his half-century in just 26 deliveries and 19 deliveries more to reach his third T20I century. In the last over, he smashed a six and four to Chamika Karunaratne. In the game, he smashed nine sixes and seven fours.

All the three centuries that Suryakumar Yadav smashed in the T20Is took him less than 50 deliveries. The last two tons he scored in 2022, were against England in 48 deliveries and against New Zealand in 49 balls in Mount Maunganui. His score of 112 runs in Rajkot was the highest for a batter in the decider of a T20I series that comprised three or more games.
The other two players to have centuries in the T20I decider series are Rohit Sharma and Muhammad Waseem against Ireland. The former one mustered an unbeaten 100 while the latter one notched up 107*.
