As per a recent announcement from the official Summer Game Fest account on X, the event is set to have over 60 partners that gamers can look forward to over three days filled with announcements, reveals and presentations. Among the most notable participants are the three leading platform manufacturers—PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo—who are all confirmed to join the festivities. Alongside the platform behemoths, a number of high-profile developers and publishers will be showing off their wares.
SEGA are expected to be in force, particularly following some leaks that have excited fans. Other major partners included Blumhouse Games, Annapurna Interactive, Yacht Club Games and Devolver Digital. Devolver is known for its unique and often surprising reveals, making its involvement an exciting prospect for attendees. One of the more intriguing additions to this year’s lineup is Yacht Club Games. Though the indie studio is most famous for the breakout Shovel Knight series and its slew of spinoffs, this will be the first time Yacht Club takes the stage with a non-Shovel Knight game: Mina the Hollower.
Unlike Cyber Shadow—which Yacht Club published but did not develop—Mina the Hollower is the studio’s first fully original project since the original Shovel Knight. Fans are also crossing their fingers that a release date for this game will be announced during the Summer Game Fest. Scheduled to start June 6th, 2025, the gaming community and industry as a whole cannot wait to see the surprises and announcements that Summer Game Fest has in store.
