Respawn Entertainment is also seeking a Sr. Combat Designer, albeit the job description just says “Star Wars Team” rather than “Star Wars Jedi.” Unreal Engine 5 is also mentioned as a bonus in the Senior VFX Artist listing, implying that the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor could run on it rather than Unreal Engine 4.
While this information does not confirm the upcoming game, it seems likely that Respawn Entertainment is working on a new AAA Star Wars Jedi title. Star Wars Jedi Survivor was more popular on Steam than Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, reaching its greatest concurrent player count at launch.
However, the game’s release was marred by controversy, with players reporting some difficulties, particularly on PC. Respawn Entertainment has now published multiple patches for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that seeks to address these issues. On June 20, 2023, Star Wars Jedi Survivor received Update 6, which addressed crashing issues in the game as well as a host of other changes.
