    BCCI have a new team as Sourav Ganguly’s time is over

    The fanfare is over. Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has been sacked from his BCCI after just three years in office.

    He reportedly said to himself at BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. He went alone in the end, with no one by his side as he lost the selectors BCCI in his final days as captain. In the BCCI election, the candidate completed the nomination process one day ahead of his October 12 official deadline.

    Also, Sourav Ganguly’s dream of his ICC is over. Officials have made it clear that they do not support the role of the ICC chairman or his role as a BCCI representative to the ICC.

    The reason for Ganguly being forced out

    The official reason is that the president did not run for two terms. However, it was N Srinivasan who vocally criticized Ganguly. The 72-year-old stopped by his BCCI conference in Mumbai and decried a “non-performance.”

    BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla later confirmed the new board members.

    “Roger Binny has filed nomination for the president’s post, myself for the vice-president’s post. Jay Shah for secretary and Ashish Shelar for treasurer and Devajit Saikia have filed nominations for joint secretary’s post,” told Rajeev Shukla to the reporters.

    “Arun Dhumal will head the IPL governing council and Avishek Dalmiya will be part of that council. Khairul Jamal (Mamun) Majumdar will be part of the Apex council. As of now these are the nominations and all are unopposed,” Shukla added.

    What does Sourav Ganguly have planned for the future?

    His immediate future is not clear. He was offered the role of his IPL president. but he refused. Without support for the role of ICC chairman, he must either return to his CAB or assume the role of commentator. JSW-backed Delhi he cannot rule out another stint with the Capitals. He has great relationships with Parth Jindal and JSW Group.
