Simon Kjaer helped save Christian Eriksen’s life, when the 29-year-old player, suddenly collapsed during Denmark versus Finland match on Saturday.
It was the second match of the 3rd match of the UEFA EURO 2021, when the Danish Mid-fielder Christian Eriksen suddenly collapsed in the field, when a ball hit him, just before half-time. Medical assistance soon arrived at the place to revive Eriksen, and also Simon Kjaer sprinted towards him,

The captain of Denmark ran hard towards Eriksen and started his work. At first, he took Eriksen’s pulse, and placed him in an upright position, ensuring that his tongue won’t block his airway. Soon after this, Eriksen was hospitalized, and the match was postponed. With the request of players from both of the teams, the match started again 2 hours later, but UEFA stated that the game will be postponed till 8:30 PM, CET (2:30 PM EDT). Though Denmark faced a 1-0 defeat from Finland, for the courageous act of Kjaer, Denmark won hearts for the match.
