    Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa says season 3 is a “very special” season

    Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa has revealed some “very special” moments in the upcoming 3rd season of it.

    Sex Education is a British Comedy-Drama released on Netflix, which is an American-based OTT platform. It was founded by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph in Scotts Valley, California. It was premiered on 11th January 2019. After the release, it became a grand commercial success for the OTT platform. Netflix crossed 40 million viewers streaming the first series after its debut. The second series was released on 17th February 2020.

    The Netflix series, one of the fan’s favorite characters Eric Effiong is known for its diverse cast and storylines and Ncuti has opened up about the scenes where Eric’s culture was celebrated which were one of his favorite moments.

    “I can’t talk about it too much,” Ncuti said, peaking to Digital Spy and other press ahead of the BAFTA TV Awards. “This season, Eric returns back to his culture a lot more and I think those scenes were very special, just having a set where the majority of people were Black.

    In this season Eric returns back to its culture a lot more and those scenes are really very special, where most of the people are black in the set.

    “And it was really great and really powerful and represented Eric’s culture and his family. Those are always quite profound moments.”

    He also admitted that it “feels good” to play a character that is usually not presented on such a big show.

    In the first season there was a scene where he went to a prom in full African attire and a Gele, a Nigerian headdress and he also shared that he was like  ‘Wow, I’m on a Netflix set, a big set, representing a culture that doesn’t normally get represented, representing a character that doesn’t normally get represented. This feels good.’

    “So any time he returns back to his culture, or is with Otis (Asa Butterfield), those are the favorite scenes of mine.”

    Ncuti also recently openes up regarding joining the show. He said it had let it to a “disgusting” revelation.
