Android 12 is bringing in many new features along with it, however, the most talked-about feature perhaps in the entire portfolio of Android 12 is a brand new UI design with customizable colour themes. Google calls this new design Material You, and it can change the colour scheme of UI elements based on the wallpaper chosen by its user.
Coming to one of the top OEMs of Android, Samsung, whose One UI is according to me one of the best-looking custom Android skins out there. When Samsung released the first beta version of its latest One UI 4.0, there was no sign of Material You present. However, the OEM has added this feature much later with the second beta release of its One UI 4.0.
While the Material You theming engine appears to be a bit buggy in Samsung right now, most of the stock Samsung apps have started to follow the new design language. After choosing any wallpaper, a new menu appears and prompts users to select a colour scheme from multiple options. All the colour schemes will be inspired by the wallpaper which the user has chosen.
Here are all the apps which currently support Material You in Samsung’s One UI 4.0 update:

However, not all of the above-mentioned apps will produce the same effect, some apps even show minimal signs of color customizations, while others flaunt them as they own them. Calculator and Device Care show a lot of Material You colors, while Gallery and Settings show minimal effects. In the dark mode, the effects of Material You get minimized even further.
