Rocket League Season 18 Launches March 14 With New Features

The upcoming season of Rocket League is set to launch on March 14 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 4 PM GMT, as confirmed in a recent blog post. This season brings several new changes, including a heavy focus on a futuristic theme reflected in the Futura Garden Arena and a selection of high-tech customization options for players’ vehicles.

As the new season arrives, so does a new season pass, which gives players automatic access to the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack Car Body. Players who buy the Rocket Pass will also gain access to more rewards, such as the Azura Car Body, Space Tower Antenna, Spaceship Topper, and Waypoint Trail. Additionally, players who log in during Season 18 will receive the Future Fashion Banner.

For season three one of the biggest additions comes in the form of new mutators in Exhibition Mode and Private Matches, providing even more options when it comes to customizing your gameplay. Players can adjust things like jump physics, how many balls are in play at once, and the gravity of the balls. Other mutator options are dodge timer adjustments, points for holding the ball, and doubled scores for goals (normal, aerial, and pass). One particularly unique feature, Enforce Territories, brings along the Split Shot Wall, which splits the field and demolishes players who come down on the opponent’s side.

To improve Gameplay Awareness, a ping sound has been introduced for when the ball hits the crossbar or the goalpost. This means that players won’t prematurely celebrate a near miss at critical junctures. In an effort to maintain a safe and respectful community, Rocket League is also expanding its player reporting system to include voice reporting. In addition to blocking, muting, and reporting other players, users will now be able to submit audio evidence if they suspect someone is violating the Community Rules.
