The Brazilian attacker Vinicius Jr is the star of Real Madrid. People thought Bale and Hazard would be the front runners to be the heir of Cristiano Ronaldo but Vinicius has turned out to be the man!
Despite, being a Madridista now, it has been revealed that Vinicius Jr was a Barcelona fan earlier.
Barcelona’s former scout for Brazil Andre Cury revealed that Vinicius was close to moving to Catalonia and he was a fan of Barcelona.
Cury revealed on Cadena Ser’s ‘Que T’hi Jugues’ show, via Marca: “Vinicius is a Cule, like really Cule.”
“He cried when Barcelona completed their comeback over PSG, when they won 6-1.”
“He was ready to sign for Barcelona too. His two agents were close friends of mine.”
“But, at the last minute, they betrayed me and the club. Since 2017, we no longer speak.”
Cury also revealed Real Madrid’s interest in Neymar back in the days when he eventually signed for Barcelona in 2013.
He said: “It was very difficult to get Neymar’s signing over the line.”
“Neymar came because he loved this club. In normal circumstances, he wouldn’t have come.”
“Real Madrid even offered him 100 million euros more.”
