According to a recent report from the Spanish football journalist Sam Leveridge, Real Madrid for the first time ended a La Liga season with zero red cards since 1983/84.
Talking about Real Madrid’s journey in this entire season, though the centre-back Eder Militao and left-back Marcelo both have received one red card each in this season, they received those cards in a Super Copa match and a Copa del Rey match respectively.
The latest La Liga champions are now getting ready for their big upcoming match, against Liverpool in the final of the UEFA Champions League 2021/22. This match will be played at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis) upcoming Saturday (28th May), which will be also the last game of the season for the Whites. The record title winners in the UCL history, Los Blancos, can extend their record to 14 such trophies by winning the forthcoming one.
In other competitions, while Real were the Quarter-finalists in the Copa del Rey 2021/22, they also won the Supercopa de Espana 2021/22 title.
