Various reports have stated that the La Liga giants, Real Madrid are very close to signing the French star footballer Aurelien Tchouameni. Mundo Deportivo first stated that the French international is coming to the Spanish capital from Monaco.
Sources state that the fee is for the Tchouameni is 50 million euros and, reports from Real Madrid state that the transfer works have been working well. Also, Madrid has to note the fact that they need to make space in their team before they could sign the French international.
Performance of Tchouameni
Though Tchouameni hasn’t been much proficient in his performance for the Ligue 1 club Monaco, he is capable of rendering high-standard performances. Goals didn’t come much from him in the 2021-22 season, but whenever he had a chance, he has proved why he is different from others.
Stats don’t praise him much as in the Europa League, he has played 7 matches and didn’t score a goal; in Ligue 1 he appeared for 26 games and was able to deliver only one. For the French Cup and UEFA Champions League, he played 4 matches and registered one goal respectively.
Space in Real Madrid
As Madrid is close to signing Tchouameni, space for the French player in the club will not be insufficient. Sources have verified that Madrid will not renew the contracts of Gareth Bale, Marcelo, and Isco this summer, consequently, they will leave the club this summer, and Luka Jovic, Eden Hazard, Dani Ceballos, Mariano, and Jesus Vallejo might leave the club too.
However the French club Monaco will not make negotiations easy for Real Madrid as Tchouameni has a contract with them until 2024. Madrid asked for the midfielder in January, and as per reports, Monaco has asked for a significant value of 100 million euros at that time.
