Players will have access to 35 operators and will push to secure enemy sectors while also protecting their own. While this mode will officially release with the actual game, players can get a taste of it early through a limited-time closed beta from March 13th to March 19th.

Players need connected Twitch and Ubisoft Connect accounts, and need to tune in to the official Rainbow 6 Twitch showcase or select livestreams. The title will see a fairly significant visual upgrade, too, improving lighting, shadows, and texturing to up to 4K resolution. Maps like Clubhouse, Chalet, Border, Bank, and Kafe will be visually upgraded at launch, with an additional three maps being given visual upgrades each season.

In terms of gameplay enhancements, you have new destructible objects such as fire extinguishers or gas pipes that provide extra tactical options. Players can also expect smoother rappel navigation, an overhauled audio system that makes it easier to discover enemies, and a new onboarding experience with tutorials and field training for new players.

Additionally, a new communication wheel will facilitate team coordination, and an updated Pick and Ban system will add another layer of strategy with simultaneous bans each round.

To enhance security, R6 ShieldGuard introduces live anti-cheat updates without scheduled maintenance. An improved reputation system will also ensure fair play. Rainbow Six Siege X will be free to access on June 10th, offering three main modes for new players: Dual Front, Unranked, and Quick Play.

They can unlock up to 26 operators through progression, while upgrading to the Premium Edition will grant access to Ranked Mode and Siege Cup at level 50. Current players will keep all unlocked content and receive exclusive veteran rewards.
