    PV Sindhu onto the quarter-finals at the Tokyo Olympics

    The badminton queen of India, PV Sindhu entered the quarter-finals of the Tokyo Olympics 2020, by defeating Denmark’s Mia Blichfeldt. Sindhu showed her exceptional class, and took the match in her pockets with ease, by winning direct two games of 21-15 and 21-13.

    Though Blichfeldt tried to do her level best, Sindhu assured her that the Danish player won’t stand a chance. The game got over in just 41 minutes, and PV Sindhu booked her ticket to the quarters. With her one step forward to win a medal at the Tokyo Olympics, she will go one on one with Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi. The Japanese player defeated the Korean player Kim Gaeun in the top 16 round.

    Performance of Sindhu

    She marked her brilliance in the match. At first, she trailed by 0-2. And from that, she took a lead of 11-6. The Danish was not far behind, and came back, equalizing with Sindhu on a score of 15-15. From that serve, Sindhu won 6 points in a row, taking the score to 21-15.

    In the second game also, Blichfeldt tried to stay in the game, and give the badminton queen of India, a tough fight, but Sindhu sealed her victory when the game went to the score of 21-13.

    Sindhu’s Performance till now

    She has produced a dominating performance at the Tokyo Olympics till now. In her last match versus Ngan Yi Cheung of Hong Kong, she defeated her by straight games of 21-9 and 21-16. This was her second successive win, and the first came against Israel’s Ksenia Polikarpova. She defeated the Israeli by straight games of 21-7 and 21-10, and snatched the match from her, in just 28 minutes.

    Sindhu has certainly made an expectation, that she will win a medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. And it is also obvious that, if he keeps us his consistency, no one can be an obstacle in her path as well.
