A new season of Pokémon Go is about to start, which means there are some fresh new events (as well as some returning ones) coming to the game over the course of March. The Might and Mastery season includes the new legendary Pokémon Kubfu, which will be arriving with a new season-long Special Research story starting on March 5. Trainers will also be treated to two Community Days, a Dynamax Raikou Max Boss Weekend, and a Mega Absol Raid Day.

Apart from these highlighted events, March will also have various events like Bug Out and Festival of Colors for trainers to look forward to in what will be an eventful month. Pokémon Go is also adjusting its raid rotation, with Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres from the legendary birds appearing in five-star raids throughout the first half of the month, and Tapu Koko and Heatran to come later on. Mega Lucario, Mega Swampert, and Mega Pinsir will appear in Mega Raids, while Shadow Regice takes the spotlight in Shadow Raids each weekend.
Max Battles will feature Dynamax Pokémon such as Chansey, Machop, and Caterpie. Spotlight Hours return on Tuesday, September 26 from 6-7 PM local time, featuring select Pokémon that will have increased spawn rates, as well as bonus rewards. You’ll see Pokémon like Makuhita, Roselia, Shellder, and Cutiefly throughout the month.
March begins with the Powerful Potential event, which runs from March 5-10. It introduces Kubfu to Pokemon Go and is the first opportunity to find a shiny Charcadet.
