New free games that will be accessible on PlayStation Plus starting in July 2022 have already been made public. When June officially ends in the coming week, Sony will reveal the features that will make up PS Plus’s upcoming set of features. Even though we haven’t heard anything officially about what will happen next, we now seem to know what to expect.
Starting the next month, PS Plus users who own both a PlayStation 5 and a PlayStation 4 will get access to a total of three more games. The main platforms for this slate are PS5 and PS4 versions of Activision’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Armageddon, an Illfonic cooperative multiplayer game, is also rumored to be coming to both of these platforms. Supermassive Games’ The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan for the PS4 is expected to wrap up the lineup.
It’s important to note that even though Sony hasn’t confirmed that these are the new games that will be available on PS Plus in the upcoming month, this list is probably correct. Dealabs has proven accurate in predicting when titles will be released on the PlayStation subscription service for a period spanning several months. And while there is always the possibility that this news may be unreliable, history indicates that this is not likely to be the case.
The free games for PlayStation Plus in July 2022 will also be the first ones made available, as Sony has overhauled the service. Even though there are currently three different tiers of PS Plus overall, these three games will be available to all subscribers to the platform.
PS Plus Essential subscribers will still have access to these monthly releases even though PS Plus Premium and Extra subscribers have access to additional PlayStation titles from the past. Even if you haven’t increased your PS Plus subscription since Sony made all of these changes, you will be able to download these games in the coming weeks.
