After a gap of one and a half years, VIVO Pro Kabaddi League is set to be back with its Season 8. The dates have almost been finalized as the PKL 2021 is set to start from 22nd December. The entire tournament will be hosted at Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru.
According to Sportstar, PKL 2021 will be held at Bengaluru Bulls’ home ground named Kanteerava Indoor Stadium. Jaipur and Ahmedabad were the other two shortlisted venues but Bengaluru is likely to get the nod. This will be the first indoor tournament to be held in the country since the Covid-19 outbreak.
All the players will have to be vaccinated and the teams will have to assemble in Bengaluru at least 14 days prior to the start of the season.
The VIVO Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 was supposed to begin in July 2021 but due to the second wave of Covid-19 in India, the organiser postponed the tournament and now it is set to start from 22nd December.
