Pierre Gasly has become the trendy Formula 1 Superstar to take a swipe at Drive to survive, stating the famous fly-on-the-wall series contains scenes that are ‘kind of made up.’ A number of F1 figures have hit out at Drive to Survive after Netflix released the fourth edition of the show, which pens the most dramatic stories in the sport.
Pierre Gasly Hits out At Drive to Survive
World champion Max Verstappen isn’t fond of the format and refused to be a part of the next season and recently drew a comparison with Kim Kardashian’s show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Even Lando Lorris wasn’t appreciative too, of the display of his relationship with McLaren teammate Daniel Ricciardo in the latest series, while F1 chief Domenicali has even requested Drive to Survive producers to keep aside the “dramatization” in the future.
Now, Pierre Gasly has become one of the latest celebrities to take a dig at the show, stating that some of the show scenes are “made up.”
Recently he has said,
I haven’t seen the whole series, so I haven’t seen pretty much the first two episodes. You can clearly see that some scenes are kind of made up for the show. It’s difficult to speak for the drivers, I’m not in their position.
Pierre Gasly insisted that obviously as drivers they don’t want to be displayed differently than the person they are in reality and it’s the major thing that they ask for.
Gasly further added that on his side he never had any issue and he never felt like they were sort of modifying or including more drama than they had. He thinks that they had enough drama for the last three years and didn’t require more.
Domenicali has revealed that the F1 officials will be arranging discussions to ensure the reality isn’t affected again in the future.
