It has been now officially confirmed the rising star of Camp Nou, Pedri has been said to be the best player of the 2021-22 season for Barcelona FC. Though he played only 22 games for his club, the Barca fans have voted for the young blood as the best player for the 2021-22 season.
Pedri received the maximum votes
Pedri received a total of 6,721 votes, over a span of 13 days, and next to the Spanish midfielder is Ronald Araujo, then Marc-Andre ter Stegen emerged in the third position, and fourth and the fifth position went to Gavi and Ousmane Dembele respectively.
Despite being missed out on the majority of the season, concerning some injuries, Pedir still received the maximum votes as the best player and is inarguably the deserving one for the Los Blaugranes, especially for their 15 games unbeaten streak, including a dominating victory over Real Madrid by 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The young talent’s contribution
Pedri had contributed to his team both directly and indirectly, making him one of the best for the club. Coming to an interesting fact, which is Barcelona won 83.3% of their games in 12 matches, with Pedir being present on the pitch, however in the remaining matches, they were able to register only a 42.3% winning rate.
Also, the young netted some impressive goals through this 2021-22 season, with his goal against Sevilla deserves special mention, which was actually named the goal of the season in La Liga. However, Pedri could have done more if injuries didn’t cross his path. He faced a serious injury against Eintracht Frankfurt, during the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals, and eventually missed the rest of the season. After that, Barcelona was able to win only 4 out of 8 games and lost 3 matches.
