While the 28-year-old Argentine forward Paulo Dybala is set to leave the Italian Serie A club Juventus soon, the Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona reportedly had a golden chance to add him to the squad through free transfer. However, Barca haven’t shown interest in signing the Argentine.
Paulo Dybala joined Juventus in 2015 summer. He has served seven years for this Italian club where he recorded 115 goals and 48 assists in 293 appearances. In recent years he struggled to perform consistently, as Juventus are not considering offering a new contract to him. Dybala’s present contract with the club will end this month.

Barcelona rejected Paulo Dybala’s offer
In a recent report, the Spanish media outlet SPORT claimed that Dybala was desperate to join the Spanish club Barcelona after learning about his exit from Juventus. He even offered himself to Barcelona, who can sign him as a free agent after the end of his ongoing contract with Juventus.

However, the financially struggling Barcelona have rejected signing the Argentine for the new summer. The manager Xavi and sporting director Jordi Cruyff both are currently focusing on rebuilding the first team with talented youngsters, and they can’t see Dybala in their plan.
A few years ago, there was a rumour about Barcelona’s target to sign Dybala as they even put a bid for the Argentine to Juventus. However, that bid was rejected as the Argentine was a crucial player in the Old Lady.
Paulo Dybala’s current status

Coming back to the present time, after Barca have rejected Paulo Dybala’s recent reported offer, the Argentine is now focusing on moving to another Italian club Inter. Currently, Dybala and Inter are trying to set up a deal.
Recently, Dybala claimed that he would like to continue his club football career in Italy. However, he is also interested in experiencing the English Premier League or Spanish La Liga. The Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur is also very serious about signing this Argentine footballer.
