Path of Exile 2: Early Access Details and What’s to Come

The long-awaited sequel to the cult classic ARPG, Path of Exile 2 will enter early access on December 6, 2024. During this period players can only access the game by purchasing a premium supporter pack found on the developer’s website. The early access version will be limited, but Grinding Gear Games has added (and will continue to add) content leading up to a full release scheduled for 2025.

The early access build will offer part of the game including a selection of character classes, half the campaign, and a limited loot table. This means that players are able to get a taste of the game while the developers work to refine the gameplay experience. It will cover more content upon its full release, with new areas, quests, and features.

To access the early version, you need to buy a supporter pack, which costs $30. They give you access to an early version of the game, as well as in-game content and currency for the shop. Upper-echelon packs deliver more in-game goods and real-life items—like clothes. As it stands, the early access packs are the only means of gaining early access to the game ahead of the official launch; there is no option to pre-order the full game.

Unlike its predecessor, Path of Exile 2 will also be released on current-gen consoles, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Mac.
