Everything You Need to Know About Sojourn’s Abilities in Overwatch 2

Even though it was announced in November 2019, Overwatch 2 has been very quiet. That was the case until lately. Blizzard said a few months ago that Overwatch 2 is getting closer to being playable, and that an Alpha for the game’s PvP mode would be released in March.

While those who have already played the game are unable to speak about it due to a stringent NDA, things appear to have gone smoothly, and a closed PvP Beta for PC players will begin on April 26.

The Overwatch 2 Beta will include the game’s first new hero, Sojourn, as well as a stripped-down 5v5 game style, a few new maps, and various Hero reworks. Sojourn has been in Winston and Ana’s animated films over the previous few years, but she is finally making her way into the world of Overwatch in a playable form, and she appears to be one of the game’s fastest Heroes.

While Sojourn may appear to be just another Damage Hero like Soldier 76 or Tracer, her skills and their interplay set her different from the rest of the roster. Sojourn, with a primary strike that appears to hit heavily, could be one of the most difficult Damage Heroes to take down if the opposing side does not focus on her soon.

Sojourn’s primary attack weapon is a massive railgun. The weapon’s primary fire mode fires energy projectiles at a rapid rate, similar to the rifle used by Soldier 76. Sojourn’s railgun begins to store energy with each successful shot he fires.

Sojourn’s secondary fire mode, which fires a high-impact bolt from the railgun, can then use this saved energy. Sojourn’s gameplay reveals trailer shows a high-impact shot that causes tremendous damage to her opponents, making the effort to save energy worthwhile. The key to succeeding as Sojourn, based on what has been demonstrated, will be deciding when to save and utilise the stored energy.

Sojourn can power slide over the floor utilising jets implanted into her cybernetic legs, which is one of her acting talents. Fans can see Sojourn using this power slide to evade Genji’s Ultimate in the teaser, as he slides past a large bunch of foes. This slide can also be cancelled into a high jump, which shoots the player into the air and creates the ideal counterattack opening.

“Overclock” is Sojourn’s Ultimate, and it grants the player limitless high-impact shots for a limited time. These high-impact blasts will be even more potent than the usual alt-fire version, resulting in increased damage. As seen at the end of the hero’s gameplay clip, these overclocked shots are also capable of piercing through many foes at once. Sojourn’s Ultimate may be a little tough to master in practice, but it has the potential to be one of the most lethal in the game.
