The Chinese Smartphone giant has already gained huge popularity across the globe and has recently become the top Global Smartphone Brand for the first time! This shows how Xiaomi is filling the gap that Huawei has created and has rightly deserved the top spot because of its aggressive pricing and honest specs.
Even in the flagship series, its launch of both Mi 11 Ultra and Mi Mix 4 shows what it can do even in the premium segment as well. According to Canalys’s latest research report recently, Xiaomi has become the number-one smartphone brand in Thailand with a 21% market share in the second quarter this year, surpassing Samsung for the first time.

Samsung has suddenly fallen to third place with a 19% market share, and Oppo has beat the Korean giant to become the 2nd in Thailand. As per Bangkok Post, Xiaomi’s smartphone shipments in the second quarter have increased 200% year-on-year, which is massive for the company already in India.
It is reported by Digitimes that Xiaomi Thailand’s country manager Jonathan Kang said Xiaomi has been investing consistently in high-end technology and innovations, which has attracted customers. The Chinese dominance in the smartphone market is evident as we also see Vivo and Realme following in 4th and 5th place, respectively.
Surprisingly in the second quarter of 2021, Xiaomi’s smartphone shipments in the world reached 52.8 million units, the second-highest among all brands, growing 83% year-on-year. However, Samsung had the highest smartphone shipments worldwide in the same quarter, growing 8% year-on-year with an 18% market share.
