Nintendo updated its list of the top-selling Switch games of all time as part of its monthly financial briefing, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to rule supreme. Nintendo also stated that over 1 billion Switch titles had been sold since the system’s debut in 2017.
Through June 30, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe had sold 55.46 million units, including bundled sales. The game sold 1.67 million copies in the last three months, up from 53.79 in the previous quarter.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has already sold 42.79 million copies, an increase from 42.21 million in the previous quarter. The rest of the top ten list is mostly identical, except Ring Fit Adventure, which was pushed out by New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Since its release in May, that game has sold an incredible 18.51 million units.
As previously stated, more than one billion Switch games have now been sold. That is more than any other Nintendo platform has ever achieved.
The Nintendo DS sold 948.76 million games, with the Wii coming in second with 921.85 million.

In terms of Switch hardware sales, the system has now sold over 129 million copies, and it is expected to end its run as the third-best-selling console of all time. A Switch replacement is expected to be released in 2024.
