New Marvel’s Avengers Bug can only be solved by Deleting your entire progress

On PS5, it appears that Marvel’s Avengers has a game-breaking flaw, and the only way to solve it is to delete all of your campaign progress. According to user complaints, the glitch causes the game to crash every time you load it up, rendering the game unusable for the time being. For the time being, the only solution appears to be to completely reset the campaign:

“Our team is continuing to investigate the issue causing a crash for some PS5 players,” developers announced via Twitter. “We think we’ve identified a fix that is currently being implemented/tested. We hope to have more news by tomorrow morning and will continue to keep you updated.”

“In the meantime, here’s a workaround that is resolving the issue for some players – just note that it will reset your campaign progress: Go to Operations and Reset your Reassemble Campaign Progress. As soon as you become young Kamala on A-Day, force close the game from the PS home screen, then you should be able to start Avengers Initiative.”

This game-breaking issue appears at the most inopportune time: during a week with double XP and resources. Between March 24 and March 31, gamers should be able to double their prizes, however, it appears like PS5 users may be missing out on a significant portion of that.

This isn’t the first time the game has sparked debate. When Marvel’s Avengers moved to Game Pass last year, fans were outraged when the game incorporated sponsored XP bonuses. Crystal Dynamics apologized to users and removed the boosters from the in-game marketplace a few weeks later.
