Mino Raiola was one of the high-profile football agents in the European football world. Surely, his recent death has created a huge gap in top football agencies.
In his almost 20-year-long football agent career, Italian Mino Raiola played a highly influential role to change the football transfer market. He introduced the high-quality players like Pavel Nedved, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Mario Balotelli, Romelu Lukaku, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Erling Haaland etc. Raiola played a huge role to bring the football market success to these top-level footballers.
According to the Forbes report, Raiola’s net worth was approximate 85 million US dollars. As a football agent, he generated money through commissions after completing high-rated transfer negotiations.
But after the 54-year-old Italian football agent’s demise due to an illness, there are now some big questions in the football market like what is the future of his football agency? Or what will be the future of his current representing players?
Mino Raiola’s agency’s future
Some media reports are suggesting the smooth movement of his agency from now, including the latest reports of Spanish sports newspaper Marca and the UK-based website MailOnline. Though Raiola’s football agency is one of the most successful agencies at present, it has a very small team to run the entire process.
Raiola’s lawyer and long-time partner, Rafaela Pimienta will continue her role to handle the legal process of the deals. Raiola’s son Mario Raiola, cousin Vincenzo Raiola, Spaniard Jose Fortes Rodriguez and former head of the Juventus press office Enrica Tarchi are also key members of the small team of the agency. All of them are ready to continue their roles.
Players’ future
Though recently Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram left Mino Raiola’s agency, the Italian football agent’s very close, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, both are reportedly keen to continue this agency. According to some media reports, Manchester United footballer Pogba can consider leaving his present Premier League club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
But the world football is currently eyeing the deal of Borussia Dortmund’s youngster Erling Haaland in the forthcoming summer transfer window.
The Norwegian striker is set to leave his present German club, and some big clubs are giving him high priority to add to their squad. Raiola’s agency is closely working with the youngster to find the best lucrative deal in the coming summer transfer window.
