Newcastle attacker Miguel Almiron has replied back to the unpopular degrading comments. During Manchester City’s title celebrations back in May, Grealish commented that Riyad Mahrez should improve as he “played like Almiron” in the season’s final match.
Miguel Almiron responds to Jack Grealish’s unhealthy comment
Since that event, the Newcastle star has been in great form, creating a major impression in the Premier League. He got eight goals in fourteen matches with seven of them coming in his last seven matches.
Miguel Almiron was asked if his form improvement has anything to do with the initial comments passed by Grealish. He said that wasn’t true and that he doesn’t have any hard feelings towards the latter.
” No, I don’t think anything Jack has said has anything to do with the great form and performances we have been showing as a group of players. ”
He further continued,
“Jack’s a great player first and foremost and I wish him all the best as I always do, but this success is down to work, more work, and even more hard work.”
The reward for his excellence in the field
For his staggering performance, Miguel Almiron has been rewarded with the Premiere League’s Player of the Month title for October. Thanking the authority for this honor, the star gave credit to his teammates saying,
” Thank you very much for the award and thank you for the recognition it brings.” Thanks to my teammates as well because without them I wouldn’t be getting the award. A lot that is down to them.”
Newcastle currently stands in third place in the table with a point ahead of Tottenham who is in fourth place. They are five points behind Manchester City who’s currently placed second. Further two points ahead of them are Early leaders Arsenal.
