MG is now going to step into 4W EV space along with the ZS EV that has sold in the facelifted form today. SAIC Motor got MG Motor India also looking to extend the EV portfolio aggressively by the venture into the Rs. 10 lakh EV segment along with Wuling Air EV We are assuming that this sub is about to Es. 10 lakh EV becomes the first fruitful segment that has offered a very economical in comparison with the similarly cost gasoline vehicle.
While MG has set to launch the ZS EV facelift this year, the company has released both Excite and Exclusive. we will just get the top-spec Exclusive that was mainly hit with Excite going to launch on the last date. We are assuming that this is the time for Excite trim to launch it. MG also has offered a new interior option for the Exclusive trims.
MG ZS: Excite Model
While the car has revealed, base Excite trim had cost at Rs. 21.99 lakh contains such high specification Exclusive trim had been launched at Rs. 25.88 lakh. For now, MG has implemented a price increase. MG ZS EV Excite also costs Rs. 22.58 lakh and Exclusive belongs to Rs. 26.49 lakh. So, the price has been increased to about Rs. 59,000 for Excite trim, and Rs 61,000 for Exclusive trim.
For those lower costs for Excite trim, it was expected that MG might offer a smaller 44.5 kWh battery from the pre-facelift model on Excite trim instead of the bigger 50.3 kWh battery also offered with the facelifted model. We have seen with a type of approval certificate, that now both Excite and Exclusive have the same 50.3 kWh battery ad the same GVW of 2060 kg.
This 50.3 kWh battery pack has promised a driving range of 461 km on a single charge. The battery has been coupled with an electric motor that has made 174 bhp and 280 Nm with the promise of a 0-100 kph sprint within 8.5 seconds. The battery alone weighs 396.9 kg with enough packs of juice for travel in the real world with a range of about 350 km just on a single charge.
MG ZS: Exclusive Trim New Features
While you are using the term Excite trim, it has got a 360-degree camera, hill-descent control, climate control, rear AC vents along with the new I-Smart features. There is the new Smart suite that can unlock FOTA capability, park+ native application for the parking booking, MapMyIndia online navigation along with the live traffic updates, and discover the app along with living weather among many others. MG ZS EV has supported Tata Power charging grid.
Recently, MG is now providing exclusive offers for an iconic Ivory option interior trim option that lives on the cabin that has been considered over the darker shades that have previously been offered. The Exclusive trim has offered the same I-Smart features.
The latest Exclusive trim also offered niceties such as a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, rear driver assists, and many more. Now, MG ZS EV Excite trim is now the better rival for XUV400 and Tata Nexon EV max. Even though that also costs about more than both of the rivals. MG ZS RV also provides the offered a larger battery.
