Mockups of the same have started going viral, with fans all across the globe can’t hold their excitement to see the real one.

Reports suggest a major reason behind this idea of putting his face on a 1000 peso note is it starts with ’10’, Messi’s jersey number. One side of the note is supposed to have Messi’s grinning face, while the proposed text for the other side is ‘La Scaloneta,’ the group’s nickname.

The term has been connected to the team since 2018, after Lionel Scaloni’s succession to Jorge Sampaoli.

First venture of crossing currency with the national side

If everything goes fine and ultimately, this idea is successful, it would be the first venture of crossing currency with the national side. Previously, when Argentina won the 1978 World Cup, they had issued commemorative coins. These coins were also issued on the 50th death anniversary of Eva Perón, the former first lady of Argentina.

At present, Messi is having a relaxing time in his home in Rosario, where thousands of fans gathered after his return on Tuesday.
