Memphis Depay scored his first goal for Barca, in a friendly match against Girona. The club defeated their opposition, by a score of 3-1. It was a pre-season friendly, played at the Estate Johan Cruyff. He came as a substitute and netted the final goal of the match, and the first foal for his present club from the penalty spot.

The friendly game was of three penalties, where Samu Saiz and Gerard Pique, both scored first-half spot-kicks. It was either side of the latest pre-season strike of Raj Manaj. Girona created their first big chance when Cristian Stuani spun around Gerard Pique and provoked a save. It was before when Alejandro Balde performed a magnificent block on the rebound.
10 minutes later, Pique scored the first goal from the penalty spot. Though Juan Carlos initially saved his shot, it was then turned by the unfortunate hands of the keeper. Carlos was again unfortunate when Rey Manaj took a shot, which bounced in off the Girona No. 1 legs.

After half-time, the Dutch footballer came with his first Barcelona touch, which was the resulting kick-off. He gave one piece of skill to put in a cross before the 45 minutes, and before the Dutch athlete provoked a good save from Juan Carlos. This was shortly after the second kickoff and another block.
The Blaugrana executed eight substitutions at once, on the hour mark. Miralem Pjanic took a shot from a free kick, which hit the crossbar. Also, at that time, Antoine Griezmann did well inside the area. Also, Griezmann got a penalty. This was the penalty which Memphis Depay took, and scored his first goal for his club, and sealed their victory by 3-1.
