Paris Saint Germain defeated their opposition De Cassel 7-0 in Coupe de France on Monday night. PSG boss Christophe Galtier went on with a stunning playing eleven that included Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Sergio Ramos starting the game.
Mbappe scores five
Mbappe was sensational and the showstopper with five sensational goals, with Neymar and Carlos Soler netting the others. It took till the 29th minute for the star-studded French club to get the breakthrough against the six-tier side, of whom two players are basically PSG Ultras.
The youngster Mbpaee opened the scoring with a low cross home. Then, after a clear interchange between Mbappe and Neymar, they had their way inside the box, and the Brazilian star finished it comfortably. An intricate lob from Mbappe after a long ball made it 3-0, and then he reached his hat-trick by the end of the first half with a skillful touch as the opponent defenders couldn’t keep up with him.
A superb second half
The second half started with a Mbappe show again. Another long ball coming over the top resulted in Maboee wrong-footing the goalkeeper and quite apologetically pushing the ball inside the empty nets.
Going 6-0 didn’t take much longer after Carlos Soler’s back heel after Neymar had put his work into the box and played the ball across the area covering six yards.
Quite surprising that Galtier chose to leave Mbappe on the pitch until a later time, and the French star scored his fifth in the game after a good cross from Soler detected him in the far post to score once again, taking the lead to an astounding 7-0.
It had a perfect setting for a double hat trick, but the final whistle came up before the Frenchman could go for it.
