Italian star footballer Mario Balotelli is all set to make his return to the Italian National team, following his completion of a three-year exile. He will be given a chance to stake a claim to be in the national squad in the next international break. There is a great possibility that the current striker of Adana Demirspor could write another long chapter in his international career. The last time he played for his national team in 4 years was back in 2018, in September during the Nations League.
Various sources state that Roberto Mancini the manager of the Italian national football team will call up to a total of 35 players. He might aim of gathering them for January 26, and 27, and secure the opportunity to impress as well as make the Italian squad standards and shape for when they will play their extremely important match against North Macedonia in March in the World Cup playoffs.
Where is Mario Balotelli now?
Mario Balotelli left Monza during the end of the last season and joined the Turkish club Adana Demirspor. There he scored 9 goals in the 21 appearances overall which is indeed a good record for the Italian. He also scored in their last Turkish game on Saturday which was on a Super Lig match,
For Italy, the 31-year-old has made 36 appearances out of which he has scored 14 goals which are also regarded as a favourable stat. And the stat is more favourable because out of the current Italian players in the squad, only Ciro Immobile has managed to beat his score.
Following his three years of staying away from the Italian National team, Mario Balotelli has great chances to convince Roberto Mancini that he is very much capable of playing a part for the Azzurri in their road to the Qatar World Cup 2022.
